An Introduction
An Introduction: A brief letter from our founder.
A Romance with Coffee.
As I grew up, went to University, started a career, and progressed through life there was one thing relevant everywhere. I began to notice certain common daily customs that would take place. These practices would be frequent no matter the location, no matter the group of people. There was a specific appreciation for this lifestyle. You could call it different things, tailor it to your desires and personalize it daily. But it was constantly everywhere, and everyone had their own connection to it. It constantly appeared everyone had their ritual and through these procedures they would begin their day. This process was a catalyst for everything from a reset, to a refocus, to creating community, conversing, and even sometimes displaying sympathy or empathy.
This universal hub created a connection. It created a bond. It created something shared.
I observed the community and comradely. The general sense of belonging and place produced repeatedly. We could be waiting for a break, anticipating the next big meeting or rehearsal, or even sneaking sips while working. But we all seemed to have this communal harbor mentally, secretly established. Even alone, witnessing people find that brief moment of solace while gently letting their guard down for their cup of coffee. There was a distinct connection between coffee and a happy place.
This observation and general overall love for coffee lead to the creation of Brewed Black Coffee Company. The yearning to create that opportunity for people and have that impact. We wanted to give everyone the opportunity to start their day on the right foot. We needed to create that harbor to run to, to escape to, to find comfort in, to be able to come back to.
